Alexandria International Festival for Contemporary Theater (AIFCT) celebrated its opening and its first edition in Bibliotheca Alexandrina (BA), Conference Centre. The opening started with the Egyptian Play “No Exit” which was performed by the Egyptian team “Teatro Theater”
The idea of the play revolved
around going to hell after death and staying there forever and it was presented
by three actors who were imprisoned inside a room and they started to narrate
their stories that led them to go to hell. They narrated their stories in
different languages; Arabic, English and French.
Ten countries including Egypt participate in the AIFCT’s
first edition and they are: England, Portugal, France, Serbia, Bahrain, Iraq,
Belgium, Tunis and Macedonia.
The festival, which will run until the 7th of
May, is organized by the BA arts center and includes a variety of shows and
plays presented by Egypt and the participated countries.
